Double Heart Ruby Diamond Pendant

Two hearts overlap and refuse to part: one cut from a single Burmese ruby, the other paved in white diamond. Between them runs a seam of gold no wider than a thread.

It is a piece made to be given. The ruby keeps its colour in any light; the diamond answers it. Together they say the thing that is hard to say aloud.
